Over Fourth of July weekend, Mortenson Ranch traveled from Santa Fe, New Mexico, to Cody, Wyoming, for one of the West’s most celebrated traditions. At the center of the trip was a rare and unforgettable moment as Miss Rodeo America 2026, Olivia Favero, rode Clyde the Buffalo through downtown Cody during the Cody Stampede Parade.
With Clint Mortenson walking alongside them, Olivia and Clyde helped lead the parade down Sheridan Avenue as thousands of spectators gathered to celebrate the holiday. Surrounded by flags, marching bands, horses, vehicles and the energy of the crowd, Clyde moved calmly through the heart of Buffalo Bill’s town.
Olivia is an accomplished horsewoman and a national ambassador for professional rodeo. Her experience, confidence and respect for livestock made her a natural fit for the ride. Clyde, known for his steady presence in film, photography and public appearances, handled the parade with the same calm temperament that has made him such an important part of Mortenson Ranch.
The moment carried meaning beyond the parade itself. Miss Rodeo America represents the traditions and future of rodeo, while Clyde has become an ambassador for Mortenson Ranch and the Western way of life.
